Home study certification courses provide training and the information to earn
an exercise certification in the convenience of home. Each course includes all
materials needed plus the final examination. Follow the course instructions and
complete the examination. A MASTER TRAINER ADVISOR is assigned to answer
questions by phone and Email. All certification courses provide ESA continuing
education units. Courses must be completed within one year.

PRIMARY CERTIFICATION
SAFE EXERCISE LEADER CERTIFICATION TRAINING
DESCRIPTION: This course sets the foundation and includes all fundamental
core information that is needed to teach every form of exercise. Curriculum
includes: basic anatomy, kinesiology, exercise physiology, nutrition and
leadership principles. In this course safety principles are highlighted plus
the four-point formula to evaluate exercises for safety, the A,B,C exercise
classification and methods to prevent injuries. Students learn to structure
various types of exercise classes and workouts. This course provides SAFETY
TRAINING for all forms of exercise.

DESCRIPTION: The Personal Trainer course is designed to provide

NUTRITION SPECIALIST
DESCRIPTION: This course provides the straight nutrition facts and a
comprehensive foundation to understand the science of nutrition. Course
curriculum includes: the NEW DRI system replacing the RDA, how to design a
diet based on the "Common Food Exchange", details of the Food
Pyramid, how the major nutrients are used by the body, food safety, organic
food, drug and food interaction, issues involving weight loss, body
composition, the dynamics of fat and carbohydrate metabolism, eating for
optimum training, vitamin and mineral recommendation and the myths of fad
diets. It also includes information regarding nutrients including protein

YOGA FOR EXERCISE INSTRUCTORS
DESCRIPTION: Level one yoga teaches the basics of yoga. It includes

Review common step injuries and how to prevent them from occurring. The course

INTEGRATED FITNESS COUNSELOR
DESCRIPTION: This course teaches a variety of alternative exercise
techniques and methods to incorporate select techniques into fitness classes
and exercise sessions. It includes a wellness profile, defines the wholistic
approach to health and fitness and explains over 50 different types of
bodywork and alternative exercise methods. Topics covered are: relaxation,
